Could be. GTAV exhibited the same exact problem early in its PC life. Poor memory management or simply overlooking something that needed cleaning up when loading a save.Is it just me, or does it seem like performance goes down the shitter if you re-load a save?
I wouldn't know, since I never die.Is it just me, or does it seem like performance goes down the shitter if you re-load a save?
This is from the console version a year ago but the comedy still holds up.
"Are you taking me back?"
Story.Just curious is everyone mostly playing online or story? So far I’m really enjoying the story of the game. It really is done quite well!

Game doesn't run at a locked 144 FPS on my dual-W3175X and quad-RTX Titan machine at 8K, must be unoptimized trash .Lol I literally just started watching the same GamersNexus video...
so maybe people should just aim for 60fps and not 180??

I also think it's pretty funny that Intel CPUs break the game because they are TOO fast.
you using dx12 or vulkan?I havent noticed much issues with the exception that it seems like my FPS is capped at 60 fps. V-sync is turned off but i'm pretty sure something is holding it back.
Steve sorta mentioned it but the bug exists at lower fps as well, People with 4670K's and such are getting stutters. It just happens less frequently the lower your fps is.The 'too fast' bug i'm not sure why it really matters at this point. No one within reason is going to get high enough FPS assuming they want higher graphics options for this bug to happen.
Additionally, this is not the type of game where having 60+ FPS really matters. It's not a twitchy FPS. So just crank up the settings and it will be very difficult to hit 100+ FPS at any modern resolution anyways.
Vulkan.you using dx12 or vulkan?
And GTA V is still crashing even though they said they're aware of it and working on it for months now.Vulkan.
I noticed Nvidia released a new driver and there's 2 fixes for RDR2 that might help others.
[Red Dead Redemption 2][Vulkan][Maxwell GPUs]: Geometry corruption occurs on some Maxwell GPUs. [2744709]
[Red Dead Redemption 2][Vulkan]: G-SYNC disengages when disabling V-Sync on the game. [2740479]
load those new drivers and see what happens. also make sure you are in real full screen mode.Vulkan.

And thats just so I can get 60fps lol (with ultra quality at UHD).
I just upgraded from a 1080ti to a 2080 Super and went from 61 FPS to 80 FPS on the same settings at 1440p that I was using before. I should be able to use v-sync now and not drop below 60 anymore but we'll see. And yes I know that overall a 2080 Super is hardly much faster than a 1080 TI in most games but in this one and Control it's a decent Improvement.
It's not the magical cure all that some people like to make it out to be. I have used about monitors that had it and always came across a few games that had issues and actually ended up running better with just regular vsync. Most issues get patched or fixed but then there's always other games that end up having problems. I know some people delude themselves and think that technologies like that always work perfect but they don't. And the monitor I'm using now is G sync compatible but the only way to use it is with the overdrive setting on which causes a little bit of of trailing.Look to upgrade your monitor so you can enjoy G-Sync!
