Recommend a Modem for Cox

Wasn't sure if there were any specific models that were better than others....
 
Motorola zoom modems are rock solid!! No all in one's of course...
 
I went ahead and picked up a 6141, seems like that's the standard for the ultimate tier...
 
I bought an SB6141 when I switched to Cox early 2013 and served me well until switching back to U-Verse a month ago. My recommendation would be to try to find out if you have the latest firmware that Cox uses or not. If you don't, PM odog over on the DSLReports forums with the MAC address and he should be able to push the latest firmware. I had to do that a few months into service because the one I was on was causing a lot of disconnections each month. Chat and Phone Tech Support was not helpful at all with getting the firmware updated. Chat didn't know how to do it and Phone said they would push it and never happened. So skip those and go straight to a helpful employee that knows his stuff.
