RAID question

I have an old AMI / LSI Logic MegaRAID 428 ultra wide scsi raid card. I also have (4) Quantum Atlas II 4.55gb SCSI hard drives that I want to run in RAID5 with. Would it be better to split two of them into channel A and the other two in channel B or have all four drives in channel A?

My noob guess would be that it is better to distribute the bandwith over two channels than to have it on one...

well Id run a quick benchmark to deterime if there is any substantial advantage, there might not be, or not much
whereas the other channel could come in handy
