This monitor has a VA panel as opposed to OLED

Can VA panels be kept on for long periods of time ? will anything negative happen ?

I understand OLED panels can burn in if kept on for too long
 
Yes.
I´ve used a "VA" Panel TV 50qn90A for over 2 years of work.
No Burn in with lots of static windows and taskbars.

It did break after 28 months though, so my next one has an extendend warranty.
 
I saw a burnt in LCD back in something like 2006 or 2007 at a local mall. Due to cycling the same ads, one of which had a big white banner at the bottom, the banner burned in on the screen.

Most LCDs these days are pretty impervious to burn-in, so I wouldn't worry about it at all.
