When I was looking for a widescreen monitor, I had choosen it down to either a 20" or a 22". I was told that since both have the same resolution, to choose the 20" because the pixel density is smaller, and that I would get a overall sharper monitor. I am now looking at getting a 16:9 1080p monitor, and wanted to know if the same applies to them. Would a
21" 16:9 have sharper text and picture than say a 22, 23, or 24in 16:9?

Well, what they mean with "sharper" is just that the pixels are smaller. You get the same resolution at a smaller size.

You can mimic the same thing by just placing the monitor further away from you.

If you want to have multiple monitors though it's nice to have the same or similar dot-pitch on all monitors.

Thanks for your input. Right now im deciding between a 22" or a 23"
