Question for you Shuttle SN27P2 owners!

If I were running a dual core CPU in it, can you disable dual core on the SN27P2 from inside the bios?

I do own the SN27P2, it's just not fully built yet, hence why it's not listed in my sig.

Yes some laptops and some motherboards do allow for this.

You could probably change the "computer" driver in device manager from "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" to the regular "ACPI PC".
