problem: videos too dark

all the videos that i play in my computer, they look very dark. i have tried avi, mpg, and wmv files in various players, bsplayer winamp and media player. all the same result. anyone know of this problem? would like to fix this asap.

This is a silly question, but did you try to adjust brightness in the player? If so it may be a codec issue if you installed and additional codecs.

i found the problem, it was from the newest nvidia driver... had to adjust the gamma. lol
