problem: dvd movies doesnt show

whenever i insert a dvd movie in my dvd drive, the screen appears black. however when i move the screen around, it flickers and shows an image of the dvd movie.

also i tried to play an iso format of the dvd, being played directly from my harddrive. still the same result.

anyone know of this issue?

Wild guess, but there might be a black overlay over it.

Maybe some sort of protection thing.

screen appears blank but i hear sound.

edit: plays fine in WMP... but it appears black when its in full screen.

i never had this problem before when i had my crt. when i switched to dell 2007wfp, i get this problem.

vid drivers, codecs, try another player? got other video software installed? got enough horsepower? GO GO GO! =) g'luk

i just installed new version of cyberlink powerdvd 7... weird thing is it doesnt show any picture in cyberlink but it works fine in media player.
