I read the sticky I know, but I wanted a first hand opinion of this power supply:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-103-917&depa=0

Its a perfect price for me, and I want to know if it will run the rig in my sig decently, I will be overclocking my CPU.

EDIT: running 2 cd-roms and 1 HD, i did the power consumption test and it came up to like 295w. But I know antec makes a quality power supply that will take a beating. And it can always be returned.

Antecs are good PSUs, but I think that you should give yourself a little headroom by going for a somewhat more powerful one.

That's about the only advice I can give you since I don't know much about your system setup.

your sig is incomplete as is the addendum
but I would point out that just the Prescott alone will suck 8.4A +12V under full load

that supply is an oldschool ATX12V v1.3 supply
and really lacks the capacity devoted to the +12V rail that a newer v1.3 hybrid or v2.0 would have in the same wattage class

never buy a PSU based on its price
rather do it based on its capacity specifically the amp distribution

why dont you list the full config
all fans drives ect

Well, I got it already and its working quite well, but i will list what i'm running:
3 case fans
1 CD-RW
1 HD
2 Intel Xeon Fans on the video card
3.5ghz Prescott

thats it
