Look down. Thats the new system the old one was an AXP1700+ so i needed to upgrade to even play todays games.

But Im sure you all noticed Proc spec is missing and well that why im here. Do I get the Pressy 3.0e or do I get a woody3.0c ( no lude jokes please)

anyway i need to know soon this stuff is all just sitting in my desk cabinet waiting for a proc so i can put it together.

Based on current benchmarks, I'd get a 3.0c, BUT if you plan on overclocking performance increases higher on higher clocked Prescotts. Read the article on Anandtech...usually drivel...but good info on the nature of enhancements in Prescott, that, if true, make it better in the long run.

I know not much of an answer, but more information can lead to a better desicion

General consensus on the Prescott is wait for a new stepping if you plan to overclock.
Intel usually does a good job on the first batch, the second is always much better tho.
