I oc'ed my system stable at 220mhz with a 1:1 ratio and stock voltage. when i changed the divider to 5:4 i could got a stable oc at 229mhz and my sisoft scores jumped. there was a 10% increase in bandwidth efficiency and close to 1000 more MIPS on the cpu test. does memory run worse when its overclocked? i just don't get why the system would perform better with lower memory speeds and more latency using a 5:4 divider.

cause your fsb is higher. fsb means more horsepower not memory bandwidth.

i wasn't clear about something. the scores jumped with the fsb at 220mhz and the 5:4 divider. at 1:1 the bandwidth efficiency was 74% and the MIPS were around 8800. at 5:4 it went up to 84% and the MIPS were around 9800.
