I am looking to purchase some sleeved PCI-E cables to support a dual 8-pin video card.
My HX650 came with a 6pin female to 6+2pin x2 female. Essentially, one cable supports a dual 8-pin GPU.
I am looking at ForzenCPU and MODDIY to have a custom cable done. MODDIY said they can't produce a cable like the one I mentioned, only a 6pin female to 6+2pin x1 female. I have not yet gotten word from FrozenCPU.
Is MODDIY wrong? If my HX650 came with a 6pin to 6+2pin x2 anyone should be able to replicate it correct?
On the other hand, my HX650 has two 6pin male ports for PCI-E cables. Should I just get two 6pin female to 6+2pin female instead of 6pin female to 6+2pin x2 female? Is there any benefit or safety issue with either?
