I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to building PCs. Thus, this will be my first build. I'd appreciate your help GH!

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mostly gaming and web browsing. But I want something that can play HQ video as well.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1000, +/- $200, not including shipping or tax.
3) Where do you live?
Alaska. For now.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
I need everything.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Not reusing any parts.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Shouldn't be but I'm not too aware of exactly what this means.
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
at least 20' LCD.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
No need for any special features.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
No, I plan on purchasing Windows 7. But accepting other suggestions.

I'm trying to do my research and learn as much about which hardware will work together that way I don't have to come back here and bother you fine people every time I want a new build or upgrade.

That a pretty solid build. But you still need a monitor, keyboard and OS. Maybe we could get you a cheaper vid card or something. I'm not sure where I would cut back on that build, it's very nice.
I'll get back here tomorrow.

Thats $960+~9 for shipping , add 100 for a monitor and 100 for win7, kb and mouse can be got cheap, upgraded later.

Friends dont let friends buy raidmax. Mind you these builds have No mouse or keyboard. you sais +200 or Minus. This puts you below the +200 mark so you can get a mouse and keyboard. you can always go to walmart pick up a inexpensive mouse and kb till you want better.

Yeah you don't want a Raidmax PSU. I would only go with Corsair or Antec for the PSU. The Raidmax case would be fine tho, it's what I have.
For the mobo and CPU, the combo gwarren posted is way better than that one.
You could probably get a better vid card for the price if you went with ATI but I don't know much about their cards. :/
Also, the RAM that gwarren posted is better and cheaper.
Since you probably won't be doing any crazy overclocking at all, you could skip the aftermarket cooler (212 plus) and be just fine.
You could get a cheap KB to be upgraded later.
Oh, and that monitor is very nice.
