Me, being the stupid idiot that I am, i have bent the pins of my P4 2.4B northwood.

Would the prescott CPU at 533MHZ FSB work on the Asus P4b266? Does the 1MB cache instead of 512Mb cache matter to the mortherboard?

According to Asus, it only supports the 400MHZ FSB chips - however, the P2.4B runs fine still. So i hope the extra 1mb cache wouldn't cause any more problems.

depends on BIOS support, but it should run it.
It has the latest bios. Will the different CPU core cause any problems with the i845D chipset.

The chip is exactly the same as the one i broke except the one i broke was a northwood.

I think the short ans is NO, it wont work.
Let me make sure I understand you, your 2.4B with bent pins still works fine, right?
If so, I'd leave it alone and run as-is.
Now more than likely the board wont even post with a prescott in it.
The prescott isnt supported by the i845 chipset.
The prescott's req'd power is WAY out of spec for that asus board.
The 845 runs a default 400FSB, the 533FSB is an overclock setting on the board.
I highly doubt you could get a prescott stable at 533, and probably even be flaky at 400, if it ran at all.
And its got nothing to do with the cache.
