What is the likelyhood that I could OC a Northwood 3.2C to 3.6 w/air cooling?

That really depends on the CPU, RAM, Power Supply and motherboard you are using. In most cases, 3.2Ghz CPUs will hit 3.6Ghz with a excellent XP-90 or XP-120 heatsink from Thermalright coupled with a Panaflo fan.

Very good, I hit 3.6 with my 3.2c, p4p800 and kingston value ram. I had a swiftech heatsink also.

Thats the exact setup I used to have. 3.6 is no problem. In fact, my WC system hits that no problem. I always seem to run into problems afterwards when I get up to 3.75, even though thats not a very significant overclock.

I would think you should be able to hit 3.6 with a 3.2. I just recently hit 3.6 on my 3.00ghz northwood and planning on going higher.

MAX OC just for shits & giggles
