NF7-S MCP-T and Logitech Z5300's? No 5.1??

Hey all..

Im running an Abit NF7-S and was wonting to get 5.1 surround out of my machine...but I dont get anything out of my rears unless Im in Matrix mode..does this require a digital out??
 
What programs are you using that aren't giving 5.1 surround sound?

Also, be sure windows/the Nvidia sound controls are set to 5.1 audio.
 
pretty much any program actually.

Ive also made sure that in Windows and the NvControl is set to 5.1 Someone mentioned to me on another foruam that I might have the speakers plugged in incorrectly. Something about how the senter needs to be plugged into the mic jack..etc?
 
My roomate actually had a similar problem with the NF7-S.

The jacks were mislabeled on the motherboard (I think he flipped where he plugged in the real and center jacks and it worked).

You can also use the Mic and Line jacks and using windows map the center and surround channels to those connections.
 
Just run the 6 channel speaker test in the nVidia control panel while you try plugging your speakers into the different jacks. You'll get it right eventually.
