Well I most likely be purchasing my new Falcon Mach V soon but before I do I went to Newegg and put a system together to see if its better for me to build (I have never build one before) If you all can please tell me what I am missing here and if this is incompatible... If it doesnt make sense and you guys start laughing tell me and Ill just tell my wife she was right and just purchase my pre-made system instead... Im trying to convince her that I have the patience and knowledge to build one by myself though :)

Umm. I may be missing something, but I looked over it twice. I don't see a processor. Also you'll obviously need a power supply, probably around 500 watts as you're getting a SLI board (I assume you're going to SLI at some point). No floppy drive (not totally necessary but helps if you don't have a PATA drive to install to). I suggest a rounded IDE cable as well.

Well its meant to be a gaming system... This is the update although I still think getting a Falcon Mach V is the way I will go...

You don't need a floppy to install windows on a SATA drive when you are using a chipset with native SATA.

I only ask because you posted in the Home Theater PC forum (HTPC). but skimming the system, it looks pretty good. My only advice about considering a prebuilt is to see if you can get a detailed component list. sometimes they just give you specs that are nice, but when you look at the components, they used some off brande mobo or PSU and the stock cooler.

as for your selections, I nice mobo, love the PSU. I only question 2 items. the DVD rom, why not get the NEC burner? why just a reader? and the hard drive. I like the raptor for performance, but you might want to add another large drive for data storage unless this is a truly dedicated gaming box.

Oops sorry Ill repost this on the correct board :)

or if possible can a mod move it please?
