Currently using...
i7 3960x
32GB DDR3
1070 Ti
Evo SSD 500GB


I haven't really started seeing age and relatively I don't lag much I want to get new CPU/Mobo/Ram and maybe a new spiffy case if I can swing it.

What would you buy that's best for cost/performance? Thinking about the AMD Threadripper 2950X or 1950X, 32GB of DDR4 3200 ram and keeping the GPU.

THoughts?
 
Depends on what you're using the build for. If it's for gaming you don't need a thread ripper or 32 gbs of ram. You will be more than fine with a ryzen 2700x and 16gbs, and save a ton of money.
