New mobo and windows keeps seeing my SATA as usb..help?

ok i just now installed my mobo and everything has been weird. anyways most of the weirder problems have been fixed howeve now windows keeps seeing my sata drive as a USB drive (give the safely romove hardware option.)

is there anyway to stop this?


the motherboard is a msi k8n neo2 platinum.
does the nforce3 chipset detect sata as remobavle and is there no way to stop it from doing so? or is there a way to make windows see my drive as a physical drive and not a removable one?

well at least how do you hide that "remove hardware" icon?

I believe SATA drives are hot swappable (so you can replace them without shutting things down), that’s why they show up in the "Safely remove hardware" box.

As for getting rid of it, you can always just set the icon to "Always hide".
