new comp shuts off after a minute?

having a bit of a issue, just built a new comp and it starts up perfect, i can go into bios but after about a minute it just shuts off. Mo idea what it could be, using a 750w psu so I dont think its that,. Using a 2.4 quad core and I see the fan spinning on start up so I dont think its the cpu over heating. Any ideas?
 
RAM.. one set, ran memtest, everything looked good. Swapped for another set, cannot even get to memtest because its nonstop bios freezing / computer rebooting. CPU temps / other stuff looked OK. Just defective ram...
 
well its not the ram, just reinstalled the cpu and its running fine now, no shut down, but vista takes a extremely long time to install.

iss 100f a good temp? thats what my cpu is running at, not overclocked.
 
It all depends on what your room temps are and what cooler you have. Assuming 70f and the stock cooler that seems about right.
