I really hate the small, square look that their nettops have. And the use of a tray loading laptop drive, at least use a slot loader to make it look nicer. Gees.

Average price is about $99, Asrock used a Sony BR drive in their last Ion nettop and it's average price is about $90.

So, for about $10 more dollars I could replace the BR drive with a slot loader (and probably a custom drive cover since these are OEMs) but it's only $10 for what would make for a much better product (at least to me, it would look a hellova lot better too).

Thats freeking sweet.. Its got about everything you could ask for a SFF.. Even room for 2x 2.5" HDD's so you can throw an OS on a SSD & a 500-1gb for bulk storage.

I Think those would make about perfect Myth front ends. Now if that damn quad cable card HD tuner supports linux I can break the ties to Tivo.

Whoops! thanks for showing me that. Genuinely didn't search Ebay. I just googled "slim slot load blu-ray" and that never really gave me much

Where do you think I could find a compatible bezel? It doesn't look like the drives have a button on the front.

i7 Mobile is still just as good as Core 2 Desktop. And it draws less power.
In such a small form factor, you don't have room to plug in a discrete card. You want triple-head IGP? Good luck.
The last time I checked, the difference in price is miniscule. And you know what? 4GB SO-DIMM's are actually easier to find than 4GB DIMM's when it comes to DDR3! (Not cheaper yet, but that'll follow!)
