Need some help here

Got a problem on the wifes/kids computer that I havent been able to nail down. Figured I would post it here and get other opinions as to what I should do. I will make this a link instead of posting image here as it is large.

So what the hell is that side bar on the left and how do I get rid of it? I have run Ad-Aware and Spybot to no avail. Have uninstalled everything I recognize as spyware from the control panel. I cannot make it go away!! Please help me.

Got a clearer picture? I can't tell much about it, besides it appears to be a standard explorer bar.

Looks like the Explorer bar is embedded onto the desktop...

Have you looked in your folder options under "View?" You might be able to get rid of it from there.

Someone told me it looked like an explorer bar...will have to try the 'veiws' thing. Hadnt thought much about that.
