I'm regretting not spending a little more on my recent build. I get about 55-65fps in bf3 on high settings, and sub 40 on ultra. Id ideally like 55+fps on ultra, so what are my options? My build is in my sig.

My immediate thoughts are dual 560ti, which probably means an upgraded PSU from my current 600w. What does everyone think?

In your case, even the fastest, most expensive single GPU cannot provide near-enough horsepower to provide your desired framerate on Ultra at even 1680x1050, let alone 1920x1080 or 2560x1440. This will require (for Nvidia GPs) a minimum of two GeForce GTX 570s or higher in SLI. The GTX 560 Ti is faster than a GTX 470 but slower than a GTX 570. Thus, you're looking at a minimum of $700 minus what you can get back by selling off the GTX 560 Ti to upgrade your system to that level of gaming graphics performance.

At your 1920x1200 resolution, you're looking at two 1.5GB GTX 580s (which cost almost $1,000 combined) in order to produce such framerates.

The 590 GTX will give you 50+ FPS at 1920x1200 with 2500k and it's a "single card" solution, with dual GPUs which are basically dual 580s, under clocked... so if you can keep the heat down, over clocking them should get you closer to 60+ FPS.

If you are willing to run Ultra but with no MSAA and maybe SSAO instead of HBAO (not much of a compromise, in my mind) than a second 560Ti should do it for you. At that resolution a single 580 can run Ultra with no MSAA and SSAO and keep framerates in the 60s, so a pair of 560 Tis should be able to easily do the same. You would have to upgrade the PSU though - I'd go with a 850W just to be safe.

Yeah I'm not willing to do anything except dual 560ti lol. Oh well @ the framerate, I'll dual it anyway with a 800w+ ps
