I have a P4 2.8C (Northwood) and a P4C800-E motherboard and a XP-90 heatsink with a 2500RPM 80mm fan.
I have two identical sticks of the Kingston PC4000 (250MHZ)
As for the PSU, i have a AeroCool 550W

However, I am having trouble getting this CPU past 3.44GHZ. Whenever I raise the FSB independant of whether I raise the VCore as well, the computer hangs after 10minutes of Prime95. Raising the Vcore or any other voltages does not do anything. I have tried switching to Turbo mode and Normal mode and both are the same.

The temps are fine. The CPU runs at 28C idle and it never goes past 42C during full load.
The ram can't be the problem since it is rated to run at 250MHZ.

Does anyone have any suggestions that might be able to help me overclock this CPU further?

Thanks in advance.

Try this, take your memory out of dual channel. I had a few problems with this board and it all surrounded the finiky memory controler...
