I have an ASUS P2B-DS and I want to run dual 1GHz (or higher) Celerons (100mhz FSB) on it.

I have two "Super Slocket III" slotkets... they are supposed to work with FCPGA and dual cpu.

Will the asus P2B-DS be able to go down to a core voltage of 1.75? I don't think the Super Slocket III has any voltage regulation.

I have not ordered the CPU's yet, but was looking at dual 1.1Ghz Coppermine Celerons.

coppermine celerons are not SMP capable, the last celerons that could do SMP were the 533 p2 based ones. youll need p3's to do this.

damn. So I have to use a 0.25 micron process Celeron then? Is SMP support completely absent from the Coppermine and Tualatin core Celerons or is there a (even if it is difficult) solder-mod work around?

Are all PIII SMP capable? Specifically, are the Tualatin core PIII's SMP capable?

The P3 Tualatins with 512k of cache on them are dual-capable.

Just not the Celeron Tualatins.

And yes, for coppermine, you would have to go with PIII. (256k cache)
