I'm voting for #2, PCI 3.0 and more USB 3.0 ports. I think it's more about what motherboard feature you want most and not the CPU, and whether or not $20 is worth it.

Probably #1 as #2 has an AsRock mobo (I don't trust them) and the i5 3570K is a bit overpriced at the moment.

thanks DB but that's not a choice must be all black...suppose I forgot that criteria but its just a thing around here. We paint our cars flat black and want our computers flat black.

I would go 2500K but for the fashion conscious the 3570K is the must have latest and greatest, whether it is or not.
Without knowing purpose, intent, or overclock intentions, either works.
