Is there anything i can do? I have an abit bg7 running a 1.6a p4 at 2.4ghz. I bought some cheap pc3200 mushkin ram that is only good for 2.5-4-4. At 188mhz, the ram hard locks in games using 2.5-3-3. If i slow the ram down to 150mhz, it seems to be stable at 2.5-3-3 (still doing testing to make sure). Is there anything i can do to slow the ram timings? I'd hate to slow up the overall ram speed by 38mhz. I am using the latest bios.

Bump up your vDimm voltage .1 or .2 and then try the 2.5/3/3 timings again. If that doesn't work, then you're stuck with what you paid for and the 2.5/4/4 timings. If you can't reach 200 Mhz or DDR400 with the advertised 2.5/4/4 timings, then send it back and get something else.

bumping up the voltage seemed to help. thx for the tip. ill keep a closer eye on it but so far its fine at 187mhz 2.5-3-3
