Missing 70gb out of 200gb HD?

I recently put my computer together and I used an old 200gb HD from my previous system. After I formatted the drive and installed XP I booted up and realized that I can only see 127gb out of the 200gb... Windows only sees 1 HD of 127 gb.

A friend said it was b/c I need SP1 but after getting it, I still don't see the 70gb anywhere. BIOS detects as a 200gb.

Any Ideas?

start menu -> run -> type: Diskmgmt.msc

Opens diskmanagement, which should show you the additional space. If it doesnt, refresh.

Have you thought about the 48Bit Addressing?

Try using an ATA card....
