Looking for Mechanical Keyboard for Work

I might be able to help you find some more options. You said that back lighting is not necessary, but is it preferred? Also, should we stick to the black board/black key color that you have in the example?

Lighting isn't preferred. I'd prefer to stick with black/black as colors. Something with a simplistic/minimalist design.

This keyboard will be a dramatic departure from what I've preferred and used for a long time. I've always preferred chiklet keyboards, the new Apple keyboards are nearly perfect in my opinion. This is what I'm currently using:

I want to see what the opposite side of the keyboard spectrum is like.

Awesome! Well if you are going to test the waters, it does make sense to not spend too much, as you may not be happy with it. The following are some examples. I personally would choose either the Cherry for value, or the GMMK for the possiblity of future switch swaps in case you dislike MX blues.

Are these on the right track?

Yeah, those havit boards are pretty good! I think they use those new kailh low profile switches. However, just be aware, some of them don't work with standard Cherry keycaps without serious stem modification. The low profile one might be closer to the chiclet style you are used to though.

I use a DAS keyboard for work. Love the volume knob and they are really well built.

Awesome choice. CM has an excellent reputation in the mechanical keyboard community. I hope you love it!

Thanks. I've recently become a fan of CoolerMaster products. I bought a MasterBox 5 for the system in my signature. I bought it because it was the cheapest case I could find that worked with an EATX motherboard, and I am blown away with how nice this case is. It only cost like $55 or something. I hadn't messed with any CoolerMaster products since the early 2000's and I remembered back then they were kinda shitty.
