Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a PSU for my HTPC, this will be going in a Fractal Design Core 500 Case.

Requirements:
Cost: $50-80
Wattage: ~500
Length: 160mm maximum
Certification: 80 Bronze minimum
Noise: As silent as possible
Cables: Full or Semi modular

Potentials:
Seasonic G550
Silverstone Strider Plus ST50F-P <--old, hard to find
Seasonic M12II 520 Evo <-- slightly pricey

Any recommendations?

That seasonic is pretty solid at that price.

The EVGA 550 G2 is also a great PSU thats full modular.

Only problem with the G2 is the length is 165mm, might be a bit too big for the Core 500 with a big GPU in it. The GS is 150mm so that could be an alternate however it is slightly louder (24dB) but still pretty good.

We've stopped production on ST50F-P for a while now so that's why it's harder to find. This model has been replaced by ST50F-PB, which has nearly identical features such as 140mm short depth, full modular cable, and 80 PLUS Bronze, so you may want to look into this one instead.
