I'm backing up all the stuff on my HDDs, and since I'm burning them to discs, I won't have a ready directory of what's on the CDs just by looking at them. Is there a program that can list the files inside a folder in a text document and then print them out?

The other program I'm looking for is a file converter. I have some realmedia files that won't burn to disc, so I need to change them to a format that's more conducive to VCD playing.

Any help is appreciated.

For the directory listings you could use redirection.

dir >> test.txt

Unless it changed from old dos days, its dir > text.txt, let me check.

Well I'll be, it works both ways ;D.

Incidently, to include sub-directories you'll want to use the /s toggle.

dir /s > test.txt

As for the whole converting from a RM file, you've got me there. I don't even know if its possible...

Thanks for the help guys, (at the least) the listing DOS function helped quite a bit.

Now, if I could find a way to convert those .rm and .ram files...
