Licensing question

We have a FTP server running on our APPS server right now to send large CAD files back and forth between vendors. To interact with the file system our internal users connect via a FTP client to manage files to and from customers. If I wanted to map a drive to the FTP folder on the APPS server to bypass using the client does that require any CAL licensing? Thank you.
