LED-LCD or Plasma??

All TV's are 60hz, 120hz refers to motion interpolation & 600hz on plasmas refers to the sub-field drive.

Do some googling.

Plasma is better, compare the top rated plasmas from Cnet and HDTV Test UK within your budget.

Yep, plasma is usually better.

However, there are some exceptions.
- See HDTV Refresh Rate Overclocking -- Native 120Hz from PC
- See Sony Motionflow "Impulse" Mode -- LightBoost style feature

Can't speak for that model but LG plasmas "tend" to have the highest input lag, Panasonic tends to have the lowest, Samsung plasmas are a mixed bag.

If you want a TV for gaming then the main aspect you should be researching is input lag.

When in doubt, go with a Panasonic plasma, then disable most of the picture enhancements in the TV menu, and enable "game mode" if the option is available.

You can find owner opinions on specific models here: http://www.avsforum.com/f/9/display-devices

Edit: My post had mostly console gaming in mind. But if it's mostly PC gaming then i'd consider an LCD with low input lag, similar to what Skakruk mentioned above.
