So i decided to get into digital photography since regular photography is in my blood(see my relative site http://www.joeorlandophoto.com/ ) anywho i picked up the Fuji camera and i have to say its pretty sweet, the main reason i picked it was because it actually has a view finder and most bridge camera dont, they just have an LCD. i know there are sites out there to learn photography but persoanlly i like books better, can anyone sugest a good read? i was gonna get digital photography for dummies as a starting point. Here is the camera http://www.steves-digicams.com/came...epix-s8200/fujifilm-finepix-s8200-review.html

I learned from experience, and from using the web, so no book recommendations regarding the basics from me ;).

I really like this website called Cambridge in Colour. They have a great Tutorials section. I'd recommend starting off in Concepts and Terminology section. They have a bunch of sections (just like chapters in a book :D).

Also saw on their main page a new article on Natural Light In Photography. Great examples of photographing outside during the day, and the pros and cons of photographing at different times and in different conditions.

I'd also recommend considering investing in Lightroom. I use Lightroom a lot for processing photos that my parents take on there P&S which only offers JPG files like your S8200. The BETA demo for version 5 is free on Adobe's site. If you aren't a fan of betas, then you can also trial the current version 4 for 30 days. Using version 4 might be a better choice because all of your adjustments will for sure carry over to the production version of 5 (maybe coming out in June...) if you plan on buying it.
