A few impressions after a couple of hours with the new drive.
1) Damn, this thing is loud. I was afraid it was broken or something.
2) Windows installation didn't seem any faster, but installing other programs, this thing flies!! AOL usually takes about 5 - 7 minutes, I swear it finished in under 2 this time.
Oh, and this is coming from a Maxtor 120GB 7200 RPM 8MB.
I had a little trouble setting up my 2 ide slaves, but a quick search on google provided the info I needed.
Also, I thought this was strange...when I booted from the XP cd for the first time, it showed drive C: as MBR with 488MB free, and the Raptor was the only drive in there, and this was before I formatted the Raptor. When I formatted it from the XP cd, it assigned it letter E.
After I got my slaves back in, I noticed that my old master drive still showed up as C:.
