Decided to overclock my 6600 and was playing around.

Anyways, after all the dust settled I could only pull the following:

1333FSB ( x9 ) at 1.35 volts ( 1.3 with vDroop)v

Going Above 3 gigs it fails orthos miserably at 3.1 I need to set core to 1.45 :(

At 3 GHz after 1 hour of orthos blend intels TAT is hovering around 48-52C.

Is that normal temperatures? Stock its around 44C.

Ambiet is around 27-29C

Scythe Infinity cooler. I have reseated it once with property applied AS5. Florida, really hot here.

I guess didnt get lucky with an OCer  But good enough to hold me over till Penryn :D

I have the exact same CPU and overclock.

E6600 at 3.0Ghz on stock voltage with a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme using a
Scythe S-FLEX 1600rpm fan.

I idle at 24C and during a Orthos Small FFT load it never goes over 44C, ambient is around 22-23C.

My processor is also E6600, and from the first day i've been running mine at 3.2GHz, FSB = 356, Multi = 9. my voltage is 1.325v set in bios and 1.28v in windows. im using intel's stock fan n heatsink. and my idle is 40c and load is 54c. :(

i can get into windows and run couple of benchmarks in 3.6ghz but for the stock heatsink not trying that too often. for 3.4ghz i need 1.375v which let me do all the benchmarks or general use, but orthos fails :(
