Is the Si-128SE overmatched by Q6600?

Okay-
I've recently installed a Q66000 (SLACR, VID 1.300) and it seems to be more than my SI-128SE can handle.
System is overclocked to 355 FSB at 1.2875 vcpu.
I installed it with AS5, which I had purchased about a year ago.
Idle temps are around 30c, but if I let Prime95 stress test long enough, the temps get up to 72c. (It does not error out)
This is with all fans controlled by the motherboard.
If I set all fans to high, it seems that the temps get worse.
I just got some MX-2.
Case is an Antec P180 with all 120mm fans.
I guess I just want some input-
Is the SI-128SE adequate for a Q6600?
Does the AS5 have a shelf life?
Would the MX-2 do a better job?
Should I wait until the AS5 'cures'?

Thoughts please...

Thank you.

I run a Q6600 G0 w/ SI-128 w/ Sunon 120x38. No problems. 333x9 I average 45c loaded across all 4 cores. 377x9 gets me 61 loaded across all 4 cores.

I don't know why you're having issues. SI-128 is a solid cooler, as long as your fan is adequate.

AS5 does have a shelf life, but mine is around 1.5 years old and still doing it's job every time I use it. As for it curing, I maybe saw a 1c difference. Maybe. It's hit or miss sometimes.

MX-2 is good. Some people swear by it. Some people swear by AS5 as well. pOtato, potAto

From my own experience you should have no problems cooling a Q6600 with an SI-128.
