Is $200 a good deal for a 660TI? Should I wait?

Currently still running a 9800gt and looking at upgrading, should I take advantage of this deal?

always list all of your other specs in detail including exact power supply and the resolution you want run at.

yeah a 760 will be a on okay match for your setup but would be the fastest card I would go with using an older Core 2 quad. you are not going to get the most out of a 760 especially in cpu heavy games but for 210 bucks there is not much point in going any slower unless money is really tight.

Yeah I plan on upgrading everything else in a year or so, and just move this card over into the new rig, I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with the old PC.

Uh one more question, I did read it requires +12 Volt current rating of 30 Amps, how do I confirm my PSU supports that?

I assume +12V1@18A,+12V2@18A, would mean 36A on 2 rails, which should be fine, right?

Depends on the game. I went from an AMD 965, 8GB DDR2 to a 4670K. In Tomb Raider and Metro 2033/Last Light I got about 2-3 frame rates more with my GTX 670PE OC.

On the other hand, going from my GTX 560ti 2GB to the 670 was a huge jump in the majority of games. Getthe the 4670K did help keep the frame rate at a 60 though.

On the other hand, in ArmA 3, my 4670K doubled my frame rates from 24 to 48 with the GTX 670.

Overall, the 560ti to the 670 was a bigger upgrade in most games compared to the AMD 965 to 4670K.

So good move on getting a 760, then get a new CPU/motherboard/RAM (if needed) when possible.

you dont just add them together but there will always be a combined rating listed on any decent psu. and you actually have 4 rails with 18 amps each with the actual combined rating of 60 amps.

Yeah I checked the side label, 60A on the 12 rail, it just says it's spilt up.

If you dont mind the used market, I got myself two extra 660tis one for $130 the other $150 for some huge performance for little money really.

Thanks for the offer shaolin95 but I already ordered it. I actually went with Amazon, but one that was $230 because the $210 one did not include the free games promotion.
