ipod touch- should i keep it? what other mp3 players out there?

just got one for my bday but im thinking of asking my friend to return it for me to get store credit.

im not really into all the games and features. the only ones i like are mail, google maps, and internet but my phone has it and i can access it on the go unlike having to sit at wi-fi areas with the ipod.

if i do return it, what other players should i look out for? i just need something small, sounds good, and easy to use. i had a zune before and dont like the interface or using windows media player to upload.

iriver e100. Bought it (4g) for $99, checked back for the
user reviews, it had dropped to $70 or so. Good sound,
surprisingly easy to use for *most* mp3 player purposes
