iPod touch network question

Ok, so I have an iPod touch 4th gen and I am wondering when it connects to a wireless network, how does it show up on the network map? Does it say "ipod" like in the upper right hand corner? Or does it show up as the name of the ipod as it appears in itunes, mine being "Ben's Ipod". Thanks, I'm an apple newbie, this being the one piece of apple equipment I own.
