Intel NIC drivers in Linux kernel?

I am installing Ubuntu 6.06 on a machine of mine and my NIC is an Intel® PRO/1000 PT Server Adapter via PCIe.

Where can I search to see if the newest kernel has the appropriate drivers or not?

The latest e1000 in the newest kernels (>= 2.6.18) should support that NIC.
