I have a linksys g access point and was wondering if I can increase its output power. Its a wap54g model. Also can you increase the output power of broadcom truemobile 1450 internal wireless card for better reception. I believe default output is 30mw.

that sveasoft site only has firmware for the router not the access points. I have tried google and not come up with anything for my model of wireless devices, just the g router mentioned and a couple netgear pcmcia wireless cards.

the AP's are pretty rare because the routers are much cheaper to buy

so i really doubt your going to find any firmware for them

you can get external 1-10 watt amplifiers for both the AP and the Card
they can be pretty cheap

Got any links to these amplifiers. I wasnt aware of any. I have high gain antennas on my access point but I thought that was all that was available for them.
