You guys always have the best solution and I can't find another post on this so:

I need someway to output mono sound from my Windows 7 laptop. If there is a cheap hardware solution, like an active or passive cable that works well, I am open to that. I know Windows 7 does not support mono output in any way, so I was wondering what third party programs I could download to do this.

Also note I need this at the OS level and not through a music playing app as I can figure that out already using DSPs. I really want to play Torchlight II without missing the sounds from the right side.

Thank you very much in advance if anyone can help me figure this out.

Thanks for the reply. It seems my hearing loss my not be permanent, so maybe I will not need to find a solution. I would need about 2 to 3 adapters in total to pull off what I needed.

(m) 1/8 stereo to (f) 1/8 mono -> (m) 1/8 mono to (f) 1/4 stereo [this might be 2 adapters itself]

Kinda wish MS would of built in just one more accessibility feature.
