How to play L4D2 PC demo as infected

Dedicated modder Saul created a plugin that allows anyone to play Versus Mode in single player and online.

To allow the developer console launch the game and select Options, Keyboard/Mouse, then enable the console.
The client can select the infected team by typing: set_infected 1.
Only the server has to have the mod installed.

You can play as a Jockey, Charger, Spitter, Boomer, Smoker and Hunter.


To host a server download the plugin, then:
1. Extract the ZIP to \Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2 demo\left4dead2
2. Start up Left 4 Dead 2 Demo
3. Get a game going in Single Player or Online.
4. Type the following into console:
plugin_cvar sb_all_bot_team 1
plugin_allow_remote_commands 1
5. To become Infected, type the following into console:
set_infected 1
6. To change back to survivor, type the following:
set_infected 0

i was wondering when someone was going to do this. same thing happened with the l4d1 demo. cant wait to play it

cool thanks for the post.. gives me a reason to keep playing the demo.. a few of us played the first half of The Parish map for 2 hours and racked up 5000 zombie kills among the 4 of us.. with over 3000 of them being melee kills.. thats about how boring the demo got.. plus we were sick of watching the advertisement at the end of the level..

wow, with only one player on infected side its tough to kill all the survivors.. the computer loves aimbot lol
