How To Measure Ati 9800 Pro Temperature???

Hello,

I have a "BUILT BY ATI" 128MB - 9800 PRO. I wanted to find out if there is any way I can measure the Temperature on the card.

I know the 9600XT and 9800XT has some software for their cards, but do the 9800 PRO have anything to measure?

Wouldn't the measurement require some sort of pyshical detection device?

I want to know too. I have a Sapphire 9800 Pro and was wondering if you can tell the temps by software?

Only the XT's and some 3rd party cards (Tyan, Hercules) have temperature diodes on the PCB. Without a temperature diode the only way to measure the temperature is to do it manually.

Yep, my Tyan Tacheon G9800Pro-M has a built in diode to sense temps, fan speed, voltages, etc. I can even control my fan speed to decrease noise.

awww thats too bad. I don't think i'll get anything specifically to measure the temp.
