How to convert a tif?

As in the graphic file format? MS Paint, Photoshop, Gimp, or any other graphics program. IrfanView is a nifty little free program that will convert to/from numerous graphic file formats.

Would you by any chance know of a simple program that I can use to get pictures off my digital camera onto my pc? I should let you know that my pc is very old. The app that cam with the camera does not work with Win 98? I have a version of photoshop but it seems difficult to quickly dl a bunch of pics and save them?
