How should I partition the HD?

I'm going to build my HTPC this weekend. I was wondering what would be the best partition sizes for my 120GB Seagate HD? It's currently setup with one 10GB and three 34GB partitions. I'll be running under Win 2K Pro and mostly just recording shows off of DirecTV. I haven't decided which recording software I'll be using yet. Thanks

I wouldn't partition it at all.

The 160 gig in my HTPC is just one big partition.

I would slice it into two, one for the OS & apps, and the other for the data. This way if you need to reinstall the OS, a format of that partition is simple leaving the shows intact.

I have an WD 120 partitioned into three, 20 gigs for WinXP and Apps, 10 gigs for music and 90 gigs for recording but I don't have a DVD burner for it yet and the drive has like 10gigs left.
If I had the space I wouldn't partition it at all instead I get another smaller drive and use that for Win and apps, this guy is selling some 30gig HDs and I'm thinking of getting atleast one for Win/apps and or one for just music.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll be going with 15-20GB for the OS and apps and the rest for the recordings.
