How far away do you sit from your 24"-30"

I'm considering which large monitor to purchase but first I have to figure out how far I will have to sit from the monitor. My computer "room" doesn't have much space so I have to be careful about my selection.

It would be nice if you could mention how far you sit from your monitor (eyeball to monitor). It might help others in their decision too.

About 14 inches away from my 30" screen... I'm about 2 feet away from a 26" tv too and don't have any problems (I'm 20/20 vision).

Wow 14 inches huh? I just measured from the screen to my eyeball.. that's pretty close! Understandable though, given it's small dot pitch.
