I own a emachine laptop M2350. I ran sandra2004 for a memory overview and found that the memory efficiency is only 50% of its max. Is there any way to increase performance in this area? The bus is 266 mhz. about 1050mb/s is its transfer rate.
you mean you have ddr266, and you get 1050 mb/s? i'd say that's a little below par, but not too terribly bad... check in the bios settings to see if there are options relating to memory speed and timings, look up what they mean, change as necessary. given it's an emachines, and a laptop, i wouldn't expect too much.
