How do I fix this image....

Hello all,

my job is starting to require me to become a little bit more proficient in imaging/graphics. I have this image (located here: http://www.purplemonks.org/florida.gif ) that I need to make look sharper/smoother around all the edges. Plus I need to make it look more crisp and not so blurry. The only program I have is Fireworks (a legal version). What do I do?

im not used to fireworks, but the only way is to trace it (using a bitmap to vector program, such as streamline or imagaro tracer,) or re create it..

or use photoshop sharpen filters, (they may work.. im not on my workstation to try it)
